It was all about charging the water look how elevated the building was and the cascading drop the water would travel they knew about water they would carry the water forever through canals aqueducts rivers so water played more part than just for crops and our consumption maybe they used it to keep the components cool? brick buildings storing electricity or energy must have got hot just a thought
