X-factor meltdown cause hypothesis: They say they were building the tower of Babel to break through the dome. Could it be they succeeded in some capacity and this caused a massive discharge/overload of energy to the grid, causing the meltdown? If they managed to directly connect the dome (which, to my understanding has an unlimited amount of power available) to the rest of the grid, in my opinion this would or could cause a MASSIVE OVERLOAD. Just my thoughts…

    • Wrong: somebody did say that. I said that. 😁

    • I am of the mind that the Bible(and many other ancient texts) are mostly allegory. In the case of the Tower of Babel it is likely that it was not an actual physical structure but perhaps a representation of our collective greed and wanton aspirations creating division. We know that when you draw too much power over a circuit that it will overheat, melt, and burn, that is why we have circuit breakers and fuses. Something similar could have happened in the past to create the ruin we see today.

      • Yes, overloading a circuit. That’s the idea I’m going with. In this case, it would have looked like an accident. They got too high and got zapped so to speak. That’s one theory. The other theory is that it was intentional, done purposefully by a group of truly malevolent entities with one goal: to destroy and enslave the human race in every way imaginable. Both are plausible.
