It is piecing all the clues together and critical thinking that we can really start to understand the timeline roughly when this event happened and like you mention the trees give a good indication of age by the height and how long the seed grew into the tree and you can bet that tree will tell you how long before the x factor event happened

Excellent Photos!! These ruins or melted buildings are not that old compared to the trees surroning them: The lifespan of a tree varies significantly based on its species and environmental conditions. Just like animals, trees have different lifespans. Here are some interesting facts about tree longevity:
Short-Lived Trees:
Palms: These trees typically live around 50 years.
Persimmon: The average lifespan of a persimmon tree is 60 years.
Black Willow: Black willows usually survive for approximately 75 years.
Long-Lived Trees:
Alaska Red Cedar: These majestic trees can live up to an astonishing 3,500 years.
Giant Sequoias: These giants endure for over 3,000 years.
Bristlecone Pine: One remarkable Bristlecone pine is estimated to be nearly 5,000 years old.
